In a time where all high-end games feels just the same, Arcen comes with an innovative and highly addicting game and it hit the bullseye with it.
Well, I have some ideas to it, but sadly there are no updates after 1.207...

Why do I crave to AVWW while we have AVWW2? Simple. AVWW2 lacks of what AVWW had. It is not the same thing, it feels like a brand new game and I did not like it, sorry. AVWW is far better and it deserves another expansion, to make it ultimately infinite.

Well, first of all, color palettes of worlds are a thing that can be changed. Why not add 2, 3 or even 10 sets of colors to ground, sky and water all randomly sorted to make it even more unpredictable?

Why not redo Lieutenant rule to put them in a random number in the continent? It would be surprising find out that the continent X has only 3 Lieutenants fo defeat while continent Y has an amazing amount of 6 of them! And what about islandd continents with 2 overlords with their own respective Lieutenants?

The color sets could also be useful to enemies and even to procedurally generated spell gems, since we could have, for example, a "Black Fire" spell with both Red and Black attributes!

And how about Treasure Hunting missions, where the objective is the reward, maybe something in twisty caves or building complexes filled with blood-thirsty enemis and maybe one or two bosses...

And what about a Guardian Power Scroll called Dimensional Rift, that randomly changes the chunk where it is located to another age - or a range of 4 of them, who knows?

Ah, other: the name lists could be in .txt files to be editable, letting players add their own choices into it. The same for place names, what do you think?

Awww, and there is one more thing: if there are survivors in the settlement, why not give to the player an option to switch to one of them in case of getting stuck somewhere and let the chosen character go rescue the stuck guy and take supplies and etc?
And what about sending survivors to accomplish missions that you don't want to accomplish by yourself?

Well, that is all, mate.
Nothing more to add, your work is great in the way it is, if you please let it alone, but if you wish to put something new those would be great add-ons.

I'm just thankful for the work you've put in AVWW, that it was the game I sought for years wth no result. Now it is here and I love it.

Sincerely:
EMIR STARSHYNEEmir Starshynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15099608891611298806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5439941893980599296.post-57219911570166243852012-06-28T17:13:44.510-04:002012-06-28T17:13:44.510-04:00The real gem of this article is that FF6 is your f...The real gem of this article is that FF6 is your favorite game of all time. Summon NPC scrolls should be Tier 1. Perhaps, in consequence, they should also be more expensive in the store and result in only one or two missions, instead of five. Not saying it should be effortless: just saying we should have some sort of out when we get sick of cave-diving for NPC missions.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02254059367273405897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5439941893980599296.post-24992430026618990272012-06-15T20:39:04.981-04:002012-06-15T20:39:04.981-04:00That was an excellent read!

This is also my first game from Arcen Games, so I would be one of those players coming in "cold".

I have been extremely impressed with the care all of you at Arcen put into your products and how much passion you have for what you do.

I think 1.1 is a great step forward for the game. I have followed and read about every single release that has come out since launch and have been truly impressed by how many good ideas have come from both the developers and the community.

1.1 definitely feels more like a larger and more varied world than 1.0 did. More monster variety is one of the things that I really enjoy, as well as new room types to make the world feel more varied. It is important to feel like you're on an adventure where you really don't know exactly what is coming next to prevent the game from just feeling like each zone on the map is going to be more of the same. 1.1 is definitely a huge step in this direction, with more planned to come in the future, no doubt.

The split for leg and foot enchants is something that I especially liked because, unfortunately, you would have to pry triple jump out of my cold, dead hands in order to get me to stop using it. Now it doesn't feel like every other leg enchant is a total waste of another potential triple jump improvement!

Also speaking of enchants, I find the bonuses each character now gets to make them to feel more "important" is a great idea. The scrapping of upgrade stones for what is a far better customization system was also a great change.

On a more personal note, thank you again for taking the time to fix my world that was broken! You not only say that you care about your players, but you demonstrate it daily and I can't say enough nice things about you all.

Keep up the great work and I look forward to more great improvements in the future.Bartynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5439941893980599296.post-27175749285334960802012-06-15T18:47:59.044-04:002012-06-15T18:47:59.044-04:00Man I just love what you do !
